The Versatility Of The LED Emergency Light

Not all kinds of lights can serve as emergency lighting systems. The light sources that can serve the purpose of emergency lighting should have certain characteristics to be efficient. They should be long-lasting and withstand the long usage without flickering and burning out. They should be highly energy-efficient and should use as little energy as possible from the battery of the vehicles. Most importantly, they should emit light beams that are strong enough to penetrate any weather condition, and be discernible at any time of the day. The answer to all these requirements comes in the form of LED emergency light systems, which are efficient in many ways.
LED emergency light comes in many forms and specifications. They can be used for a variety of tasks and can be fixed to a number of emergency vehicles. The best feature of the light is that it can be customized into a number of fixtures depending upon the kind of vehicle that needs the lighting. Most common lights that we see on the roads are police lights which have the following functions:

• Warn the oncoming traffic of the emergency area, or poor driving conditions.
Alert the traffic violators and instruct them to pull over.
• Traffic advisers when the traffic signals fail.
Demand the right of way when there is a chase or need to respond to the emergency situation.
The most basic form of an LED emergency light is the strobe light. Strobe lights can be combined into a number of different configurations of lightbars. Mini lightbars have around two to three strobe lights attached together. Large lightbars with inbuilt traffic advisers have more than four strobe lights attached together. The lightbars can contain several rows on mini strobe lights, each of different color, and can have a number of pre-programmed flashing patterns. This increases the effectiveness of the communication, and instructs the public better about the emergency.
Apart from the police cars, there are a number of other vehicles that use emergency light systems in a variety of different colors. Fire trucks and ambulances are other most important emergency response vehicles that use lightbars and strobe lights in red amber and white colors. Police cars use standard blue, white, and red colored lightbars. Mini lightbars in green, amber and yellow colors can be seen on a number of service vehicles like towing trucks, construction vehicles, snow removal vehicles, voluntary emergency response vehicles, and parking meter monitors.
There are different mounting options available to make better use of the LED Emergency light. The interior lights can be mounted using suction cups, or magnetic frames. The interior lights can also be used as dash lights and can be mounted on the rear of the vehicles using the traditional bolts and metal frames. Lightbars can be mounted atop the vehicles with the frames and screws to fasten. The frame mounting option will permanently fix the lightbar to the vehicle. Portable lightbars have magnetic technology that makes the fixing and dismounting fairly easy.
